Het aanbod van club cosmetics loopt van gezichtsprimer en basisproducten tot kleur voor ogen, wangen en lippen. Je kunt producten naast elkaar bekijken die verschillende stappen bedienen. De volgorde telt mee. Primer komt vóór foundation, terwijl oogschaduw en lipkleur later je make-up bepalen.
Bij de gezichtsbasis vind je foundations en concealers, poeder en primer, terwijl de kleurcategorieën verder lopen naar oogschaduw, lipstick, lipgloss en producten voor lippen en wangen. Die breedte vraagt om een keuze per stap, omdat basisproducten een andere rol hebben dan kleur. Begin bij dekking en textuur. Kies daarna kleuren die bij elkaar passen.
Bij oogschaduw vergelijk je vooral kleurfamilie, afwerking en de vorm van het product. Een losse poederformule brengt anders aan dan een romige variant. Kijk ook naar pigmentatie. Die bepaalt hoe zichtbaar de kleur wordt.
Voor teintproducten spelen dekking, ondertoon en textuur een grote rol. Een vloeibare foundation kan licht of voller ogen, terwijl concealer vaak plaatselijk wordt gebruikt. Poeders verschillen ook in transparantie en matterend effect. De ondertoon stuurt je keuze. Test kleuren bij daglicht.
De combinatie van basisproducten en kleur maakt het mogelijk om je make-up per onderdeel samen te stellen. Kies je basis eerst. Dekking en afwerking bepalen hoe gelijkmatig of glanzend je gezicht oogt. Daarna bepalen kleurintensiteit en glans je accent. Lippen vallen sneller op.
