The continent of Europe - an alternative timeline - is in the midst of the Second European War between the Atlantic Federation and the autocratic Eastern European imperial alliance. The operation Northern Cross is to avert the threat of defeat by a daring attack on the imperial capital at the last moment. Commander Claude Wallace and his most loyal friends are sent as Squad E to ensure the success of the desperate operation.
